Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so we're helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, we've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of Summit County. Stay safe and enjoy! 

1. Columbus Zoo

There are tons of fun places to visit in Columbus, but one of our favorites is the Zoo! Walk around the zoo and aquarium enjoying interacting with wildlife up close. There are plenty of habitats and shows to keep you busy here all day.

2. Ohio Caverns

As one of Ohio’s most popular attractions, there’s a lot to explore here. It’s the largest cave system in Ohio and contains many crystal formations. There are two different tours that explore different parts of the cavern. The best part? It’s open all year!

3. Middlefield, Ohio

The Amish culture is alive and well in Middlefield, and there’s so much to take in! From the award-winning cheeses to the historical facts there’s something for everything here.

4. Kelley’s Island, Ohio

There’s plenty to do here for a day trip or weekend getaway. Watch the gorgeous sunsets, go for a kayaking tour, enjoy some great food, and so much more!

5. Lake Erie

If rest and relaxation are your speed, enjoy the many wonders of Lake Erie. From animal watching to entertainment attractions, wineries, and waterfront dining you'll find it all here.
